Online and In-Person EMDR Therapy in Columbus, Ohio

Helping people react less, and connect more.

I help highly capable humans (individuals and couples/ENM relationships) find stability and peace within their own mind and relationships during difficult seasons of life.

Therapy for high-achieving, emotionally exhausted humans who are tired of holding everything together alone.

On paper, it looks like you have it all together. You have the job, the partner(s), the grades, the house, the kids—everything they said should make you happy, but you aren’t. Behind the scenes, you struggle with constant anxiety, depression, insecurity, self doubt, and cyclical conflict you can’t seem to manage. You’re the one your friends admire, but struggle to take your own advice, and you’re at your breaking point.

Meet Gina

An EMDR trained, Marriage and Family Therapist in Columbus, Ohio

I’m Gina, the founder of Laurel Haven Counseling and a Marriage and Family Therapist in Columbus, Ohio.

Do you find yourself shutting down during difficult conversations? Do you find yourself saying things you don’t mean and regretting them later? Or even NOT saying the things you want to and regretting that later? I specialize in working with people who struggle in relationships of all kinds – with friends, family, coworkers, children, etc. I work with parents and families navigating similar patterns of disconnection, reactivity, and avoidance. Many of the same tools that help individuals and couples find their footing apply just as well within the family system. I love helping clients reflect on what was really going on internally, understand what worked them up or caused them to withdraw, and develop strategies to come out on the other side and choose differently next time.

I help people become more self-aware and self-accepting so they can show up better for the ones they love most. All sessions are LGBTQIA+ affirming and inclusive of all races, genders, sexual orientations, and relationship structures.

My Unique Approach

We explore attachment wounds, unhelpful relational dynamics, boundary setting, and the patterns making or breaking your relationships success. Whether monogamous or ENM/CNM — I help partners focus on gaining clarity around your wants, needs, and desires, work toward establishing a secure connection and resolving stubborn conflict.

As a therapist, I’m warm, relational, and direct. I take a mindful and somatic approach to therapy that won’t over pathologize you or push an agenda. I’m here to help you make meaningful, lasting change with therapy that is collaborative and honest. If you’re ready for that kind of work, I’d love help you.
