The Therapist Who is Going to Help You Trust Yourself Again
Meet Gina Menninger, an EMDR trained therapist serving clients in-person in Columbus and online across Ohio
If you've lost trust in yourself, it's often because somewhere along the way you learned to override your own voice. Rebuilding that trust starts with someone willing to reflect you back to yourself and that's what I'm here to do.
Choosing to pursue my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy was one of the scariest and best decisions I’ve ever made. It completely changed how I understand myself and human behavior, in general. And OCD and ADHD aren't just part of my clinical focus either. I live with both myself, so I know what it actually takes to build a steady life with them. I've also done my own years of hard work through anxiety, depression, and relational trauma that, for a long time, didn't feel survivable. I'm not asking you to do anything I haven't had to do myself.
I work hard to understand my own bias and privilege, and I take that seriously with every person who sits across from me. I’m warm, direct, kind and compassionate. I'll hold your feet to the fire when that's what is needed because you came here to grow! Don’t get me wrong, I love a good laugh in session, too… but there will be real work done alongside it.
If any of this resonates with you, fill out the contact form and lets schedule a free consultation call. I can’t promise it’ll be easy, but I can promise it’ll be worth it. One call. That could be the moment everything starts to shift.
Healing is possible, and closer than you think.

Therapy for highly capable people who are tired of understanding their patterns but still living them.
What makes this work different is that it goes beyond insight alone. I help individuals and couples understand the attachment wounds, relationship dynamics, and nervous system patterns driving anxiety, conflict, people-pleasing, and disconnection so that change shows up not just in therapy, but in everyday life.
We pay attention to what’s happening in the body in real time, using a somatic lens to understand emotional responses as they arise rather than just talking about them after the fact. Together, we look at the full context—how you’ve learned to adapt, how your nervous system responds under stress, and how those patterns play out in your relationships.
From there, we work on creating space for emotions without becoming overtaken by them, building the capacity to tolerate big feelings in healthy ways, and developing new ways of relating that bring people back into connection rather than conflict or withdrawal. The goal is not just understanding yourself more deeply, but actually experiencing repair, regulation, and transformation in your relationships and daily life.

What Makes Me Different Than Other Therapists
I May be Your First Non-Stuffy Therapist
Therapy is serious work, but that doesn't mean we have to be serious all the time.
I believe healing happens through real human connection. That means showing up authentically, building a genuine relationship, making room for laughter when it shows up, and creating a space where you don't have to perform, impress, or have all the right words. My style is warm, relational, and down-to-earth, because meaningful change happens when you feel safe enough to be fully yourself.
